Firefly Frolic- This was taken from a childhood memory, a dear one. You can see the creation of this work in a step by step album on my facebook page. Link to the art of patrica allingham carlson is on this blog page.

I am starting a new venture here on my blog today- an on line Art Teacher Service-

You can see it by going to the top of this blog, and clicking on the link there. First, here is what I came up with:

Online Art Teacher

New Service- Art Teacher Suggestions on line by an Experienced Art Teacher

Ever get well into an artwork of your own and wish for some objectivity in how to proceed?
As an experienced art teacher I am offering a service for just such a quandary. I can offer suggestions on composition, color, what may be needed to improve your work.
How it works:
You would purchase an Art Teacher Suggestion Service here which would consist of
one image sent and one response from the instructor. This service will cost $10.00, USD.
You will take a photo image of your work . I will receive an email notice of your purchase.

After you purchase my service you will send your image of your artwork to my email, along with any specific questions you may have for the work.
I will evaluate the artwork and send you specific suggestions on how to proceed, ideas that I think will improve the artwork, as well as what is really working well already in it.
I may send an image of a sketch to illustrate my ideas for your work, or
take a photo of your artwork and mark upon that to send back to you.

I have been working as a professional art instructor for over 25 years, with many different media and with all age groups and experience levels. I feel that I can help to improve art endeavors and provide some good help.

My dilemma- I had an idea, but lacked the technical knowledge to make it happen.

My top tech friend, my husband, was heavily immersed in a home remodeling project on our old bathroom. He also works full time and so had no time. So I put the question out to friends on facebook. How could this service be set up? Where? How could payment be made, how, how, how?

My fb friend Russ had some wonderful ideas, and was very helpful. But I lacked the knowledge to help him help me.

My fb friend Patricia Mimulux had the idea and the technical knowledge to set it up here on my blog- and she did it!

I met Pat when I first joined the online world for the sake of necessity. Bringing my art to facebook and to on line stores like zazzle and Fine Art America as prints and cards opened up a new world to me!

Through my admiration of artist Pat Mimulux’s work I saw at zazzle, I contacted her to tell of how her artwork impressed me.

We have been friends ever since, exchanging first talk of art, then of our own lives and thoughts. We provide each other with art ideas and critiques.

We write on line across the world to each other, from the US to Hungary.

Pat has great talents as a digital artist, and is also a painter in the old fashioned way. Her unique manner of conveying art have amazed and moved me.

We find our friends in many places; friendships sail in on the wind, and may sail away as quickly. When you find a friendship that lasts, even in such a non conventional form as by email, it is a very valuable thing.

This fine lady has been a huge source of help to me, and I am grateful for her!

I hope your day is a happy one, more art techniques to come in my next blog-
